Systems Biology:
The Science of the 21st Century


An approach to emerging and reemerging infectious diseases

 This conference will address a wide variety of issues that are pertinent
to professionals in the health, science and education communities.

 

 

 The purpose of the Congress is to share scientific knowledge related to emerging and reemerging infectious and noninfectious diseases from
Systems Biology approach in order to:

 

· Keep the community informed about recent investigations related to the sprout of new diseases and the reappearance
of others that were considered eradicated.

· Alert the community of the repercussions that these investigations have in all spheres of society, public health and the environmental implications related to this phenomena.

· Contribute to disseminate the scientific knowledge related to different aspects of these diseases: etiology, prevention, diagnostic and treatment.

· Promote the establishment of public policy for the prevention of these infectious diseases.

· Incorporate the strategies of  “Systems Biology”  in the K – 12 Science Curriculum and post secondary level to provoke and encourage students into scientific research.
